Can you see illuminations from akershus

We decided to step outside in shifts and that actually worked for us because as it turns out my then DD2 was scared of fireworks! But it was fine. I danced with my 2 year old who was dressed as a princess and I was finally able to stop and enjoy the moment.

What I hate is that I was so worried about trying to get into dinner and get dinner done in order to get to IllumiNations, that I was rushing us through all the magic that is the experience of Akershus: meeting and getting our picture taken with Belle, meeting all of the princesses, and feasting and dancing.

Or you can continue browsing without updating. I'm afraid that you won't be able to view Illuminations from inside the restaurant. The Akershus Royal Banquet Hall actually has leaded glass windows that make it next to impossible to make out the detail of anything outside the windows.

Personally, I've never seen Illuminations from that area of the World Showcase so I can't give you a recommendation as to what might be a great spot close by to enjoy the show. I did, however, speak with a nice Cast Member today who told me that if you step outside and walk over to the edge of the World Showcase Lagoon that you would have a pretty decent view from Norway.
