Why is hyatt being boycotted

Stand on a highway and stop traffic or something like BLM does. Any of those reasons individually should be enough for Hyatt or any hotel chain to take a stance against hosting them ever again if not remedied immediately, let alone all three of those reasons at one single conference.

Hilton, who is fine hosting racist neo-Confederate groups[3]? Marriott, who is fine hosting anti-Muslim hate groups[4]? IHG, Wyndham, Radisson, Choice, or other chains who have taken no stance against hosting hate groups? Now, in my opinion, that definition of hate groups is too narrow. Hosting a convention for a group of people who support the terrorist attack on our capital… a group of people who support Marjorie Taylor Green who want to deny me equal rights.

At least Marriott had class to come out and stay it would stop supporting politicians who were ok with this… Hyatt said nothing and now welcomes them with open arms… As a globalist who is about to hit lifetime status I am torn… I now find it hard to spend my and my employers money at Hyatt.

From a business standpoint…at this point, it might actually be a savvy decision for Hyatt to use this as a way to start the expansion of that definition of hate groups. I personally hope they do so. Its wrestling. Both republicans and Dems work together behind the scenes.

I have an Irish Celtic cross on my arm, its a beautiful tattoo. There are some racist groups that have used the same symbol over time, to represent their groups. Just because the symbol is used, does not mean I am in any way associated with that group.

Surely Steve Bannon would not have let this opportunity pass by. Nobody is boycotting a damn thing. At least nobody of consequence. All still doing just fine. Screw these fascists for trying to force their ideology onto every corporation in America. And screw those who buckle under. That said, the manner in which they handled this is to be commended. More corporations should react in the same way. Best response now is for Hyatt to quietly back away from the entire thing and keep quiet.

It will blow over and be forgotten. I hope both sides plunge forward with their boycott. That should offset the influx of new Globalists, and keep my upgrade percentage at Continental was Republican, American Airlines was Democratic. Loyalty is in the eye of the beholder. You mean they supported an end to systemic racism? Not sure what companies are left that would not support that.

Do you think the Bolsheviks tried to win people over by promising gulags and bread lines? Guilt is something my mother gives me. Hyatt is not struggling with the bottom line. It is a profitable multinational corporation, capable of enacting high road policies that treat workers fairly and pays them middle-class wages and offer benefits. Instead, currently it is choosing to be a low-road employer that disregards its core workers.

Hyatt can do better. Hyatt workers and their union have asked for support. Boycotts make sense when workers and their elected union want them, and this is the case with the global boycott of Hyatt!
